The Cut feature will cut text, or a record. When text in a record is selected, Cut moves the selected text to the clipboard. When no text is selected, Cut moves the current record to the clipboard.

Cut Text from Field: to move selected text to the clipboard

  1. Select the text you want to cut.
  2. Click Edit, Cut Text, or press Ctrl-X.
  3. Click Edit, Paste Text to place the text.
Cut Record: to move the current record to the clipboard
  1. Make certain the cursor is in the record you want to cut.
  2. Choose Edit, Cut Record.
  3. Click Edit, Paste Record to place the record.
