Generally, information about contributors to secondary pieces within a work are not required in your references, and, for most publishing styles, it is preferred that this information be omitted for references (even though, many times, it is included on the title pages of books).

If, however, an edition includes illustrations or an introduction (preface, foreword, etc.) that seems relevant to your research, you can elect to include this information in your records. Use the extended form for books, and enter the information on the secondary piece and contributor in the Descriptor field. Note that you may need to edit this information for different publishing styles, as Citation does not reformat data in this field when references are generated.
