The Replace Text feature allows you to quickly find and replace text in your database.

To find and replace text in your database:

  1. Click Search, Replace Text. Citation will display the Replace Text Dialog Box.

  2. Enter the text to find, and the text to replace it with.
  3. Set the options for Match Case, Match Whole Word, and the Direction for the search.
  4. Click OK to begin finding and replacing text.

You will have the option of confirming replacements, or replacing all occurrences of the text at once.

Definitions for the settings on the Replace Text dialog:

Options
Match Case
Check this option to match the capitalization you have entered.

Match Whole Word
Check this option to match the entire word entered as the search term.

Direction

Forward
Replace text in the records following the current record.

Previous
Replace text in the records preceding the current record.
