When you use Add Record to create a new record, Citation places the new record at the end of the datafile. Insert Record adds a new record before the current record.

To insert a record into your datafile

  1. Choose Edit, Insert Record. The Select Form dialog will display.
  2. Select the appropriate form from the list box, and click OK. A blank form will display.
  3. Complete the form. Citation will insert the record before the current record.
