The Find Duplicates feature searches your datafile for duplicate records.

To find duplicate records in an open datafile

1. Click Tools, Find Duplicates. Citation will search through your datafile, and return a dialog listing exact matches, possible duplicate records. For example:

2. Double click on a list entry to view a record.
3. Once you have determined that a record is a duplicate, click Delete Record to remove the record from your datafile.
4. When you have finished checking the duplicates listed, click Close.
