.
The Add Datafile feature lets you add a datafile to the end of the current (open) datafile. This feature combines two datafiles.

This feature will come in useful for those who are working on a project with colleagues: you can easily combine datafiles created by individuals into a single master datafile. It is also useful when you are using a laptop or other computer (at the library for example), and need to create temporary files that can then be added to a master datafile on your desktop computer.

To add a datafile to an open datafile:

  1. Open your master datafile, and click File, Add Datafile. Citation will display the Add Datafile dialog.
  2. Enter the datafile to add to your open datafile, then click Open.
  3. Citation will open the selected datafile and add all records from it to the end of the master datafile.
