We have already used Citation's Bibliography feature to write notecards. Now we are simply going to write a bibliography in MLA style for the records in practice.dat.

  1. If you haven't done so already, open a blank document in your word processor.
  2. On the Citation menu, click Generate, Bibliography, and set the options to look like this:

  3. Click OK. Citation will alphabetize the records in practice.dat, and write a bibliography in MLA style to your open word processing document:

    You can practice writing bibliographies in other styles, if you like.

    When you have finished, close the practice bibliographies without saving, and return to a blank document in your word processor.
