In your Citation records, enter all the author names on the title page of the book, in the order in which they appear on the book title page. Invert first and last names, and separate the names of individuals with a semicolon. Notice that you can elect to enter the full names of authors; Citation will truncate the names to initials when that is required by the publishing style.
Enter the year in which the edition you are using was copyrighted. This information is usually located on the back of the title page in the book.
You can also enter a shortened title to be used in footnotes (with other publishing styles).
Note: If the book is not the first edition, you wil need to use the Book (extended form), and include the number of the edition in your Citation record.
Note:You can elect to include a shortened title to be used in footnotes (shortened titles are often used in subsequent citations of works within a paper when a footnote publishing style is used for the references).
Note as well that for footnotes and endnotes, it is often required that the citation include a specific page reference; Citation includes these in the footnotes/endnotes when the specific page reference is entered in the citation marker, or "Access key".
