Choose the Publishing Style (e.g., MLA, Chicago, Turabian) and set the options for the
intext citations (citations in the text of the document).
Choose the Publishing Style, and set the options for the Reference List (citations in list of works cited at the document).
Make certain that the check boxes for alphabetizing citations, numbering citations, and including abstracts are set to your preference.
Click OK to begin writing citations.
Note
When Citation writes references, it makes a copy of the document with the Cite Keys, and replaces the
Cite keys with references. Be careful not to overwrite the document with the Cite Keys so that you
can rewrite your citations later.
To try writing references for a paper with the samples provided with Citation:
With your word processor, open c:\citation\samples\apadraft.rtf, and save the rtf file with a new name.
With Citation, open c:\citation\samples\tutor.cit, and then click Generate, Citations for Document.
Set the options in the dialog to write the references in one of the styles you are familiar with, and then click OK.
Citation replaces the Cite keys with references, and formats the citations for the document.
